Monster Yamaha Tech Member Breaks Collarbone
As most motorcycle riders know, the sport is not quite entirely safe and there have been accidents over the years which have pushed companies to increase safety options and recommendations for various cycles. Recently, a member of one of the Yamaha teams, the Monster Yamaha Tech team, broke his collarbone and he is currently trying to recuperate ahead of time upcoming for major events which will require his expertise with Yamaha parts and cycles for his team. The accident was during a motocross practice and it was reported that the rider suffered a broken right collarbone.
In a sign that suggests riders these days are very apt to communicate with their fans through alternative and up to date means, the rider took to Twitter to tell everyone about his accident and it is expected that the accident may keep him from participating in a test in Malaysia at the end of January. He is expected to undergo an operation soon which should make sure that his collarbone is not permanently damaged. He and his team are still hopeful, however, that he will be able to participate in upcoming races.
There are also some questions as to the modifications that have been made to team race bikes as the revisions were made at least three months after a final test in 2011 after the ending of the Valencia Grand Prix. The fact that the group test was commissioned so far before the beginning of the new season has been reason for concern regarding the future of the team.
